South Side Farmers Market

Fresh Produce and Locally-Sourced Food.


​Our mission is to provide a variety of high-quality, Ohio-grown, raised and sourced produce and foods to residents of the South Side of Columbus.

Join us each Thursday evening through September from 5:00-7:30 p.m. at the corner of Parsons Avenue and Gates St. on Columbus' South Side. 

Stop by and grab some fresh produce and other goodies – You can also grab a beer and bite at Tatoheads from the Hungarian Butcher!

Interested in becoming a vendor and selling at our market?  We still have one spot left for the season.

Market Details

​Starting Date: Thursday June 1, 2017
Ending Date: Thursday September 28, 2017
Time: 5:00-7:30 PM or dusk (whichever is earliest)
Location: Gates St and Parsons Avenue in the grassy lot next to Tatoheads. 
Parking & Restrooms: Parking is available on Gates St. other other nearby streets.  You may also park on the side of Parsons Avenue.  Vendors and shoppers may utilize Tatoheads' restrooms.

We are pleased to offer a variety of produce and locally-sourced food for 2017! 

City Meadow Market Garden
Located literally down the street from Parsons,  City Meadow Market Garden will offer a variety of veggies and baked goods.  Highlights include rare varieties of tomatoes, peppers, kale, eggplant, okra and more!  

City Scoops Ice Cream
City Scoops is excited to bring traditional hand-dipped ice cream to the South Side! We proudly serve delicious and certified Ohio Proud Johnson's Real Ice Cream of Bexley, Ohio. Flavors will rotate throughout the season and may include: Vanilla Joy, Chocolate, Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough, Cookies & Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, Lemon Sorbet, Raspberry Sorbet, Salty Caramel Chocolate Pretzel, Buckeye Fever, Birthday Cake and more.  

Falcon and Flash Spice Co​
Locally owned Falcon and Flash Spice offers unique spices and curated seasoning blends to accompany all of the delicious produce you'll purchase at our market! (present only some weeks during the season)  

Gleicher's Treats
Who says people should get all of the goodies?  Kyle  of Gleicher's Treats will join the market on June 8 and offers high quality dog treats.  Bring your four-legged friends next week to try them out!  

​Heirloom Produce
Former Merion Village residents Joel and Samantha operate Heirloom Produce, a farm dedicated to sustainable and healthy lifestyles through community gardens, fresh food, and urban farming.

Impossible Jams
Pick up some amazing locally-sourced jams, jellies and preserves.  The reviews say it all!  They create delicious jam combinations that are SO. GOOD. that they border on the impossible.

Jackie's Garden Patch
Jackie’s Garden Patch sells products grown full of care and passion but free of chemical fertilizers and pest controls. She offers a wide variety of produce throughout the season including a variety  heirloom tomatoes, chili peppers, sweet peppers, eggplant, greens, onions, herb plants as well as dried and fresh herbs. She even offers  dried catnip pouches for the kitties during the summer months! Did you say garlic?  She also sells stiff neck garlic, the type that garlic lovers love and this year’s crop is looking great! 

Shady Grove Farms
​This Central Ohio farm has it all. Shady Grove Farms offers a variety of produce including fresh produce, meat (pork, chicken, duck, rabbit), eggs, jams/jellies, baked goods and crafty items. Interested in a CSA share? Shady Grove Farms will be using our market for one of their pickup locations. Details here. 

Tillie's Kitchen
Tillie's Kitchen offers locally-made granola to our market!  Juile, a Schumacher Place resident, crafts her granola  from oats, cranberries, coconuts and almonds.  Yum! She makes her granola at the Commissary Columbus, an incubator for start-up food producers.
